In the next room, defeat the gargoyle and collect the Gargoyle Hand from it's corpse. To reach the final switch, on top of the crumbled wall above the abyss, use your crossbow. You can use Aard on the two to either side of the locked door, as well as in the center of the right-hand wall. To unlock the door in this room, you'll need to use either your crossbow or the Aard sign to impact the four square panels around the room. Defeat the guardian in this room and pass through the door - there are also some armor dyes in the barrel near the exit. Once they've been defeated, head through the next door and drop down into the opening in the floor to your right.Ĭollect Professor Moreau's diary from the tunnel, then climb the boulder at the far end to continue. Two cat-like guardians will awaken - eliminate them to proceed. Head down the next set of stairs and continue down to the large circular platform. You'll need to time your movements to avoid being skewered by the spikes in the floor - though there's a chest full of valuable crafting ingredients at the far end.

Entering the lake from the beach near Mere-Lachaiselongue Cemetary is the fastest route to the underwater ruins.Įliminate the drowners swimming in this area, then swim over the large ruins and enter the portal on their backside.įrom the portal exit, head down the steps and across the covered walkway to the left side of the chamber at the bottom. Make your way to the flooded valley (the large central body of water that the river runs into and out of). Use your Witcher Senses to find the footprints leading away - when they disappear, open your inventory and examine the Old Map of Toussaint that Yennefer included with her letter. Make your way to the cemetary and examine the ransacked grave at the base of the large tree.

The letter explains that there was a scientist researching Witcher mutations in Toussaint, and that Geralt should be able to find information in his grave. As Geralt travels through the city of Beauclair, a young messenger will arrive with a letter from Triss or Yennefer(Whichever you romanced). This quest begins after completing the main story quest Blood Run.
